Back to HomeI am Colette Hester, and I have been with NBCC since it’s very beginning. A small group of us started the church and we met in the Amish furniture store I owned at the time. Since then we moved to a strip mall, and after that to our current location.
I was asked if I would do the bookkeeping for NBCC a little over 3 years ago. It has been challenging at times, but also very rewarding. I have definitely had to push my comfort zone to a new level, but am glad to have the opportunity. As Pastor John said when he asked me, “the job is fairly easy, I think you just have to pay a few bills”.
On a personal level, I work “full” time, have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. All who live within 4 miles of me and keep my life full of activities and adventures. I wouldn’t change a thing about that. When I do get a chance to get out with my friends, I love to ballroom dance and occasionally take Salsa lessons.
