The Great Commision
Before ascending into heaven, Jesus gave these final words of instruction to his followers saying, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey all the commandments I have given you.”
- Matthew 28:19, 20.
We call this Evangelism.
The Great Commandment
When questioned, what is the greatest commandment in all of Scripture, Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind. And the second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Matthew 22:37, 39.
We call this Discipleship.
The Great Conversion
In describing the characteristic of the Christian life, Paul, the apostle or Christ and missionary of the Gospel said, “Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
